Game & Hunting Preserve

Hunting has long been a part of life in this part of the Panhandle, and the land around The Cator House offers opportunities to carry that tradition forward.

Seasonal options may include pronghorn, pheasant, and dove, with access to knowledgeable local guides who understand the land and how to work it well.

Permits are limited and handled with care to ensure a responsible and enjoyable experience. For those interested, lodging and meals can be coordinated to make your time here comfortable and well-paced from start to finish.

Pronghorn

Our ranch is typically awarded a limited number of pronghorn permits each year (1–3), making this a rare and sought-after opportunity. Availability is announced in July—contact us to join the waiting list or learn more.
